Just wanted to emphasize that there's no general "German bier" (or only as a generalization that ignores the manifold sorts). It may fit for "German beer is [with exceptions] very good.". (Frankly, there's also a few really awful beer products.) Tried to outline that in a previous post that there's really many and very different ones. (And then there's always the taste issue.) Janis
