I am using a modded version of the PiaoHong newsreader someone on the Italian usenet has put online. It fixes some of the bugs the original has and makes it actually useful as a reader. It's not my favorite way of accessing stuff, but it works when on the road. There was a thread about it on news.readers a few months ago. There used to be one called Groundhog news a few years ago, but that one is no longer updated. Of course those are all for Android. I think there's at least one current IPhone reader, but I don't know much about it.
