I don't know specifically, but with my very limited experience with C++, the X86_64 compiler is much less accepting of the syntax that the Alpha and IA64 compilers accepted. Some of the changes are pretty mechanical (casting or simple refactoring); some are not. Don't ask me to describe the "some are not" part, because I'm getting help to deal wit those. For the tests failing, it may be due to code not yet working, but I don't have any inside knowledge there. -- -- Rob
