Ah,but's true news? Most of the excuses for the revolutionary war were lies. The tea dumped in Boston harbor would have, due to a change in English tax laws, sold for a cheaper price then the illegal tea smuggled in illegally by Boston ship owners. The Spanish American War was certainly, partially due to a fight for readers by the New York Journal and the New York World who were involved in their own battle to sell the most newspapers - war would be just what they need to boost sales. -- Cheers, John B.
