For comparison, “¬” is U+00AC NOT SIGN. It denotes logical negation. It would be a natural replacement for the “!” prefix monadic operator. In fact, it had that meaning in PL/I, back in the day. Interesting that EBCDIC thought to make a place in its repertoire for “¬”, but ASCII did not.
