Trouble is, there is no currently workable Lisp “standard” as such: first of all there is the “Lisp-1” (e.g. Scheme) versus “Lisp-2” (e.g. Common Lisp, Elisp) schism; secondly the closest thing to a Lisp “standard” was Common Lisp, and that is really old and full of baggage from the time when non-Posix-like operating systems were common. Even Scheme seems to have become fragmented.
