I guess it comes down to what a person values. Some prefer security and
simplicity to be provided to them. Others prefer complete freedom to do
what they want and be responsible for their own security. Some want a
combination of both and are willing to compromise. 

It would be nice if we could actually discuss these values without
insulting each other.
