Earth and Beyond was third-person wasn't it?  At least that's what
Wikipedia says, and what the screenshots show.  If you want a first-person
space sim MMO-like game there's Elite Dangerous and Star Citizen.
Apparently there's also an unofficial Earth and Beyond "emulator" that
will let you play the game.
