Dumb people aren't good at acquiring expertise and experience - John Larkin does seem to be a case in point - and getting it doesn't make them dumber, though it may make them less likely to agree with John Larkin, which he may imagine to be evidence that they are dumb. -- Bill Sloman, Sydney
