Desktop computing:

* is ALL Linus Torvalds ever cared about
* is the ONLY reason you're here
* is the ONLY reason any of us are here
* is where virtually all data is generated and consumed
* is where Linux has failed miserably
* is where you spend all your computing time
* is where most of the world does all its computing
* has been totally and completely dominated by MS\Windows for 34 years
