I bought a First Alert because I've grown too old to jump from the second 
floor any more, and still suffering from doing it as a kid. It didn't say 
use only once like some, though repacking it was tricky. It would mess up 
the window enough that I replaced the lower molding with a taller plywood 
panel it can safely scratch, then practiced climbing out.
