The director of #2 was the writer of #1 who played the criminal that got executed in it. #3 IIRC was the second DP of one of the prior ones. #3 was one of those "We'll just film it in complete darkness so no one will see that we didn't even have change dug up from the couch to finance it". -- I've done good in this world.
