Ha, ha, ha !  I have never seen an H1-B person working for even half 
salary of a USA engineer.

But now, a lot of the engineering companies have offices outside the USA 
and pay what the market wage is in that country.  With India's 
incredibly strict capital controls, this is one way to get "money" out 
of the country.
