I liked the original Filet-O-Fish sandwiches. The newest ones I tried, no. I even think the tartar sauce got crappier. Probably made with soy now. ... Yep. Number one ingredient, soybean oil. McDonald's tartar Sauce. Ingredients: Soybean Oil, Pickle Relish (Diced Pickles, Vinegar, Salt, Capers, Xanthan Gum, Potassium Sorbate [Preservative], Calcium Chloride. I can't get enough Soybean Oil, Xanthan Gum, Potassium Sorbate and Calcium Chloride in my diet. Maybe it was the change in the Soybean Sauce... err... "Tarter" Sauce that mostly changed the flavor of the Filet-O-Fish. I was stupid enough to think there might actually be some mayonnaise in their tartar sauce. (Which wouldn't make much difference now, as I think the main ingredient in mayonnaise is also Soy Oil these days. Although I think mayonnaise, at least, has some eggs in it.) -- “Evil is not able to create anything new, it can only distort and destroy what has been invented or made by the forces of good.” —J.R.R.
