But you aren't.

You are using them to dispose of obsolete kit that has already been 
written off.

Well that is better than it could be. The basics are already there. Just 
need to be made capable of taking 200mph electric trains. And having 
twin track operation where it is interleaved with slower freight


That is NOT cheap.

But its way cheaper than 'renewable energy' or 'green fuel'
