It's the Zombie Apocalypse, and a family of four seeks refuge in the
country home of the father's childhood. Set among Philippines sugar
cane fields, OUTSIDE (on Netflix) uses the apocalypse -- rules intact --
as an understood backdrop for heavy family drama. Its dubbing, as well
as its over-two-hour runtime, does somewhat undercut the effect. Still,
ambiance is the linchpin of zombie movies, and, in that regard, there's
a lot here that works. Mostly recommended.
