And some pretty outrageous statistics: Percent spent on Instruction: Private for-profit: 27% Private non-profit: 39% Public: 34% Percent spent on Academic support, student services, institutional support (aka general admin): Private for-profit: 68% Private non-profit: 40% Public: 28% Seems like the public can demand a better deal if they push. A lot of casual admins living off tuition payments.
