As I understand it about 170 are due to be shut down between now and 2030. And given that delays in this field are not uncommon, I suspect the actual number will be less. Since we shut down our coal plants fifteen years ago, the number of respiratory alerts in Toronto has gone from thirty per summer to one or less. That alone made it worth the cost. William Hyde
