Trump lost that year. Seems he learned a lesson.

And yet, in real life, there is a slight likelihood that voters
voting by mail will be long-time Republicans simply because they are
older. Republican party operatives never opposed vote by mail, fully
understanding it was a tool to take advantage of.

It was ignorant party leaders, not operatives, not voters.

It DOES NOT givr Democrats an advantage. 2020 was an unusual year since
Republican politicians running for re-election made it an issue to
oppose its use. It backfired on them.
