This gadget I found on Amazon also has a companion WiFi device that would allow to read the temperature remotely, so I might eventually buy that, too, if the need comes. By the way, I’ve just read that Google installs a new infrared sensor in its Pixel phone that allows using their phone to read room temperature without any external gadget. It sounds interesting, but I think it can probably read the surface temp of objects really, not of the surrounding air temp. As to my inadvertent use of Hungarian text in my original post, unfortunately comes fairly often when I am distracted. It’s even worse in speech. Such is the life of an expat.
