BTW, what is your opinion of the other 5? McDevitt is basically mac and cheese. Nothing revelatory but you know what you are getting. Like the Kowal but I was surprised magic didn't have a larger effect on the setting. Like the Jemisin so much I nominated it for a Hugo, forgetting that because I read an arc, it would not be eligible for another year. Don't remember much about the Hobson or for that matter the Okorafor. -- My reviews can be found at http://jamesdavisnicoll.com/ My tor pieces at https://www.tor.com/author/james-davis-nicoll/ My Dreamwidth at https://james-davis-nicoll.dreamwidth.org/ My patreon is at https://www.patreon.com/jamesdnicoll
