I've dabbled (babbled?) in Perl, Java, Python, and done some work-work with
C#/ASP.NET/Javascript, but C/C++ is my goto (get it? get it?).

Of course, my early C++ code was pretty awful.

I do think Python is a good language for scripting, and it's also the
source for the Meson build system.
