He intends to pardon himself for any federal crimes he may have committed in the past and into the future, and he would have done so regardless of Hunter benefitting from his father's power. If anything, Trump's intention to pardon himself simply encouraged Biden to pardon his son. Hunter is still the world's biggest fuckhead, a presidential pardon notwithstanding.
