These newer LTs with the glued in batteries scare me. I'm afraid I might
 bend them while prying them out to replace one and start a fire.

I actually destroyed a LT one time with a battery fire with a dumb mistake.
 I was doing something else inside the LT and when I reassembled it I put a
 long screw where a short screw was supposed to go and punctured the
 battery. Fire actually shot out the side. Fortunately I was able to run it
 outside and throw it on my rock yard. No injuries and the house didn't burn
 down. But you can see why I'm a bit battery changing paranoid now...

Yup I do the same so on second thought my refurbished LT half used battery
 worry is probably unnecessary.
