They are there so Ford can speak at a medical conference. Ford doesn't speak French or know his way around, but his wife does. While he's in the shower the wife gets a phone call, she then gets dressed and walks out of the hotel room. After several hours go by and she doesn't return he starts looking for her, and eventually runs into a man who says he saw her get forced into a car. Ford then goes to the local police and then U.S. embassy, but no one takes him seriously forcing him to search for her himself. Since this is a movie Ford eventually runs into a young attractive would be love interest to help him search for his wife. I know saw this once or twice before, but I went into it having no idea what would happen other wife gets kidnapped in France. It held up very well. One thing I noticed was the score was done by Ennio Morricone and sounded a lot like the score from The Ninth Gate which Polanski also directed. I assumed Morricone did the score for both movies, but someone else did the score for The Ninth Gate. Now I'm wondering why the scores sounded so similar. Obviously Polanski must have had something to do with it. The Fugitive (4K disc) 1993 movie starring Harrison Ford as a doctor who once again has trouble taking proper care of his wife. This time she's murdered and Ford gets the blame. He's arrested, convicted of the murder, and sentenced to death, but thanks to luck he is able to escape and go on the hunt for the real killer. But hot after him is Tommy Lee Jones and his team of U. S. Marshals (including Joe Pantoliano, Daniel Roebuck, Thomas Mills Wood, and Johnny Lee Davenport) who doesn't care if he's innocent or not. I think this is probably the first time I've watched this since the mid 90s. I watched with the commentary featuring the director and Tommy Lee Jones. One detail I would not have picked up on is the director of this also directed "Under Siege" which also starred Tommy Lee Jones. Another detail I wouldn't have picked up on is the guy who wrote this movie is the same guy who wrote and directed the Pitch Black movies. U. S. Marshals (blu-ray) 1998 spin off of The Fugitive starring Tommy Lee Jones and his team of U. S. Marshals (including Joe Pantoliano, Daniel Roebuck, Thomas Mills Wood, and Johnny Lee Davenport) who are once again chasing an innocent Fugitive, this time played by Wesley Snipes. But Snipes isn't your ordinary Fugitive, he has a particular set of skills, skills that make him a nightmare for U.S. Marshals. However, the U.S. Marshals are joined by Robert Downey Jr. who has a similar set of skills as Snipes. I think this is probably my first time watching it since the original release. It was pretty good. Air Force One (4K disc) 1997 movie directed by Wolfgang Petersen. When Air Force One comes Under Siege by terrorist, the President of the United States (Harrison Ford) must make an Executive Decision and personally make the terrorists Die Hard. A lot of familiar names and faces in this, including Glen Close as the Vice President and Gary Oldman the villain. It was better than I remembered.
