I don't think any of these was the village I heard about but the 
articles were interesting just the same. Thanks for that.

It's discouraging - but not surprising - that such a small percentage of 
the Syrians were likely to really assimilate. If I were German, I'd be 
concerned that the unassimilated might easily become terrorists since 
they apparently don't feel any fondness for their new country.
