Every human on Earth 4428 is a transplant from Earth Prime. Most are
from the 20th century but quite a few are from 0 AD. Earth 4428 was
used since it did not have a native human population.

Earth Prime 25th century humans are suiciding by the millions per year.
The futurists are estimating that Earth Prime population will be less
than a million in 20 years. 25th century humans are strange, they live
alone, they do not leave their homes, they interact only with computers,
they do not have sex with others, and they do not have children. Kind
of like the Spacers in Asimov's robot books.
