On my Debian system:

    ldo@theon:~> apt-cache rdepends gawk | wc -l
    89
    ldo@theon:~> apt-cache rdepends perl | wc -l
    1121

Let’s just say, you’re more likely to find Perl than Awk on a Linux 
system ...
