One of these days, I might see about getting the old one fixed so I can play those games again. But in the case of the iPad, it's the software updates that will cause certain apps to no longer work. Although that's nothing new for Windows users. You never knew what game would suddenly no longer be compatible with the latest operating system update. But it's way more annoying with iPad software updates since that's less of a choice. At least with Windows you had to go out of your way to buy the update and it was usually well known in advance what would or wouldn't work after an update.
