I had a daisy wheel printer. Massive thing, beautifully made, with a chrome steel frame; used tractor feed paper, and produced very nice printed output. But is was as noisy as a machine gun! So I installed it in the front porch - which we never used anyway - and drilled a hole through the wall for power and the RS232 data cable. I gave it away when I wanted something which would cope with simple graphics so got a dot-matrix printer - which was a bit quieter. -- Graham J
