Sky TV in New Zealand (and presumably Australia) occasionally offers subscribers of the basic packages free access to the pay-extra movie channels. They did that recently for a free month, which in reality lasted about a week longer. Such deals can be quite good for movies (I think we recorded about half a dozen), but limited free access for regular TV shows can often not be worth it because you see the first couple of episodes and then they get stuck back behind the pay-extra wall.
