So that the hardcore fans of a show who must see each episode the instant it is released have to pay more ... they pay for X weeks, rather than just one week to binge watch all the episodes. Of course, it's only the ADHD youngster generation who are worried. Us oldies are well used to having new episodes broadcast only once per week. :-p (In fact, with the wacky broadcast method used in the USA, there often wasn't even a new episodes every week either.)
