We have basic telephone lines, first installed by Al Bell. And we now have cellphones, which require transmission towers. About 1/3 of the US still doesn't even have cell access. I'm not sure, but I think Micky is in the US. Is so then he cannot receive texts over his landline He can only receive audio.
