If the apps running are drive intensive, no performance increase will be noticed by the user. This would be great for equation intensive CAD programs like Solid Works. Useless for M$O, Quick Books, and Turbo tax. Windows is not real good at a lot of cores either, so this would have to be Linux. System 76 make awesome stuff.
