My suspicion is he is an over indulged little boy who has never had to 
grow up because he has been coddled all his life by and over indulgent 
mother.

Oh and he is combatting his feelings of lust whenever he sees children 
and cannot handle them, especially when he volunteers for VBS at his 
"Church".
