I *can* think of several ways that the country and the world are WORSE off though. In terms of foreign affairs, our government's craven pandering to the pro-Hamas crowd has been appalling. We've even received thanks in writing from the Hamas leadership! In terms of shared defence, we are one of the worst offenders in terms of failing to meet our NATO commitments. We've only announced a vague intention to eventually meet the 2% floor and that announcement had no teeth or real spending commitment with a target date almost a decade away. Meanwhile, Trudeau has increased the size of the federal bureaucracy 40%, spend untold millions on very expensive "consultants", been and being embroiled in scandal after scandal. Getting a passport, which used to take two weeks at most, is apparently a multi-month process now DESPITE all the bureaucrats. I believe the bureaucrats are STILL dragging their heels about going back to their offices to work despite Covid being over for many months now. (Apparently, they LIKE working in their jammies and not having to commute.) -- Rhino
