Technically you don't have to pay them anything (even ignoring the 
naughty web). Many Netflix shows / movies do get released on disc 
formats, and in many places you can borrow those discs from you local 
public library for free. In reality of course you are still paying via 
your taxes that are used to run the library and other city services.
