How much scrub land does New York City deal with?
How many wild fires in that scrub land? The Mexicans have experience it
would seem that the NYPD FD lacks. Southern ,California is a desert.
When it gets rain as it did for 2 years in a row brush and other plants
grow wildly.
Followed by a drought year with less than 0.20 inches of precipitation
left it quite dry. Combined with a seasonal wind event amplified by the
Climate Warming it has induced in Los Angeles County
a Fire of the Century though it may be superseded in that title by
more horribly destructive conflagrations.
