I finished my work for the coming week while watching disappointing
football games. I also watched soaps, 3 more episodes of "Silo" season
#2, and got through a disappointing movie on Tubi:

soaps: DOOL - Thur's ep. Well, that was fast - Leo enthusiastically runs
his latest "Javi is Lady Whistleblower" theory by Marlena, who points
out that Leo's "evidence" is entirely circumstantial. But this is
cleared up later when Leo and Marlena run across Javi and Kerry, and
Javi tells Leo that the "I [Heart] Rochester" sweat shirt is actually
Kerry's... There was also Holly/Tate/Doug III stuff, but meh. (I am very
disappointed to discover that they are going to recast Sophia, which I
think is a bad choice as Madelyn Kientz is good in the role; apparently
they're also going to recast brat Rachel...) On the latter front, Brady
and Ava discuss the Rachel problem, while Kristen convinces Rachel to
get her head shrunk! (and her head needs a lot of shrinking!!).
Y&R - Wed's ep. After Daniel basically says he wants nothing to do
with it, Billy reveals his big anti-Victor "plot" to Filis[sic!], and
she rightly poo-poos it with prejudice!... Claire reveals to Victoria
and Nikki that she fed Jordan a bill of goods (too bad - I was hoping
Claire was actually being honest with Jordan), and then declares that
the only way out of this is to kill Jordan! (She's not wrong!) Nick and
Victor get an update from Chance, proving that Sharon was kidnapped.
Sharon tries to free herself.

football - The Rams choke against the Eagles. Then Bills outplay the
Ravens (who at least kept it close). And now I am out of teams in the
playoffs... >:/
Luckily, next weekend is golf at Torrey Pines. :)

Silo (Apple TV+) - Ep's #2.5-2.7. Juliette comes down with an infection,
and then Solo uses that to coerce Juliette to solve Solo's "flooding"
problem in his Silo. But then it seems like Juliette is sabotaged, and
when she "returns to base" it looks like someone has possibly attacked
Solo and he is nowhere to be found.
Mechanical continues to undermine Bernard, and outwitting Sims'
replacement.
The Sheriff gets closer to discovering what Juliette knew before she
was put out of the Silo.
Sims' Lady MacBeth wife continues to play both ends against the
middle (really, she's betting against Bernard), even without telling
Sims what she is up to, including allowing Shirley and Knox to escape
Bernard's goons... Later, now Judge Sims refuses to help out Bernard,
pretty much declaring open war between the two.
I love how Lukas Kyle, who was originally dragged into this mess by
Juliette, keeps getting passes from Silo's authorities! - after getting
his sentence shortened by the late judge, he is drafted by Bernard to
restore Juliette's hard drive, and then to attempt to decode an old
letter - he is even made Bernard's shadow! And it's revealed that
Bernard has a secret AI inside the "IT" vault. (Does Solo have one of
these too?...)
Three more episodes of this to go, which I will get to today.

The Death That Awaits (Tubi) - Very disappointing "horror" (not really)
flick from 2024.
Allison Paige is third-billed in this, but literally doesn't show up
until the last 3 minutes of the film. Paul Johansson is last-billed, but
it actually probably the third most important cast member.
The lead Katya Martín is attractive, but this film doesn't go
anywhere interesting, and I thought the ending was a real letdown.
Gist: A drifter with a past (Martín) is hired to basically
"caretake" a sick teen (Megan Lawless). What's wrong with the teen? -
Well, early on it's clear she's either turning into a vampire or a
werewolf. They settle on which of these fairly early on.
And then pretty much nothing happens.
Until the ending which again I thought was nonsense.
I'm also getting very tired of vampires that can walk around in the
Sun - the whole point of vampires is that they can't do that!
