Yesterday, I worked in the morning, and ran errands in the afternoon,
but still had enough time to get through soaps, and to binge a couple
more episodes of "Paradise":

soaps: DOOL - Joy confronts Alex about getting back together with
Stephanie, and gets Alex to admit it though never lets him explain what
actually happened, and them kicks him out of her room - it will be
incredibly dumb if the show doesn't have Joy leave town over this... The
new "Sophia" debuts, and this was even rougher than I was expecting -
beyond the new actress clearly being nervous, she has none of the
twinkling malevolence of the old Sophia - I would love to know what
happened with the original actress, Madelyn Kientz, as she was superior
in every way (except for being tiny), and if the show fired her, they're
idiots!... Anyway, NuSophia's plan to get a couple to adopt goes up in
smoke (and now they seem to be heading in the direction of Johnny and
Chanel adopting the baby!). Holly commiserates with Doug III, and Tate
catches them... Oh, and the hospital is about to go bankrupt, and
Stephanie is trying to prevent that from happening on Kayla's behalf.
Y&R - Mon's ep. Mostly not that interesting. Victor refuses to
accept Kyle, and Claire tries to change his mind. Kyle's son clearly
seems to be conspiring to try to get Kyle and Summer back together.
Sharon continues to act just as crazy as before (IMO), coming over to
Adam's and Chelsea's, pretty much accusing Chelsea of getting back
together with Adam, and gushing in an almost unhinged way about Nick.
GH - Tue's ep. This was decent. After making another public scene,
Sahsa throws a drink in Cody's face, and storms out; after that, Felicia
talks Cody down. Then Sahsa meets with Jason, and gets him to agree to
not to contradict the "Jason is the father of Sasha's baby" story though
he demands to tell Danny the truth. Danny finds out where Cyrus is, and
publicly confronts him about killing Sam, just as Jason arrives to
intervene. Nina tries to convince Willow that Drew is the real problem,
and Nina is just about to admit her affair with Drew at the end of the
episode (which means she will surely get interrupted before doing so
next episode).

Paradise (Hulu) - Ep's #3 & #4. Reddit was all saying how "episode #2
was a letdown, but episode #3 was so much better", but I don't think
that was true at all - the best part about episode #3 was giving
Sterling K. Brown a chance to shine; but otherwise, I thought it was on
par with ep #2. But episode #4 I thought was much better, finally
delivering some answers.
    Some
    Spoilers
    Likely
    I
    Guess...
Ep. #3: "The Architect of Social Well-Being" - Most of this episode
was Brown's Xavier trying to get Sarah Shahi's Dr. Gabriela to explain
her angle, while Garbiela tries to psychologically probe Xavier about
why he was estranged from his late father - in the end, Gabriela trusts
Xavier to find out who really killed the President, and warns him about
Billy Pace (as per the President). Meanwhile, it's revealed that
Xavier's buddy Billy Pace and his affair-mate Jane were the ones who
disable the security cameras, ostensibly so they could "play with
President Bradford's stuff", like his video game system - this seems to
clear them of killing the President. (Or does it?...)
Ep. #4: "Agent Billy Pace" - This ep is all about Billy Pace's
backstory (though it's never explicitly explained how he ended up on the
President's security detail), and whether he can really be trusted, in
light of Pres. Bradford's warning about him. This does reveal an
important point about the overall "meta" storyline, something I think
several of us suspected. However, the "twist ending" was ruined by the
show's cast listing - when one person is main cast, and the other isn't,
you know exactly how this was going to play out. And, as such, we
probably now know who killed Pres. Bradford, and this episode pretty
clearly lays out the probable "why" as well.
