What about lions?  Lionesses do the hunting and the males
take the food.

Oh, I imagine some of the great apes are the same.

It certainly takes some time for ducks to learn where to
lay their eggs.  The first season they'll plop them just
about anywhere, including in the path of my lawn mower.

I seemed to have missed that one.  I rarely had any interest
in being mentored by females.  I would have given quite a bit
to have someone teach me better eye-hand coordination, though.
