'The Recruit' Canceled at Netflix After Two Seasons
    ---------------------------------------------------
Netflix's espionage dramedy "The Recruit" has been canceled
after two seasons with the streamer, Variety has confirmed.

Colton Dunn, who played former CIA operative Lester Kitchens
on the show, took to Threads Wednesday night to announce the
    news.

"'The Recruit' has been cancelled y'all," he wrote. "Such a
bummer. I'll share some pics and fun memories on IG but just
wanted you to hear it from me. Thanks if you watched. I'm
AVAILABLE NOW! Hire me for you tv story!!"

"The Recruit" ran for 14 episodes across two seasons, first
premiering in December of 2022. According to the official
logline, the series followed, "Owen Hendricks (Noah Centineo),
a CIA lawyer [who] becomes involved in massive international
conflicts with dangerous parties after an asset tries to
expose her relationship to the agency."

Other cast members include Aarti Mann, Fivel Stewart, Vondie
Curtis-Hall, Kaylah Zander, Kristian Bruun, Angel Parker and
Jesse Collin. "The Recruit" was created by Alexi Hawley, who
also served as showrunner and executive producer. Hypnotic
and Lionsgate produced the show for Netflix. Executive
producers included Centineo, Doug Liman, Gene Klein, David
Bartis, Adam Ciralsky, Charlie Ebersol and Julian Holmes.
Season 2 directors included Hawley, Holmes, Jessica Yu, Viet
    Nguyen and John Hyams.

In February, Variety reported that "The Recruit" Season 2,
which was named one of Variety's most anticipated shows of
2025, debuted with 5.9 million views in its first four days on
Netflix. It landed in second place on the English-language TV
chart, only falling behind "The Night Agent" Season 2, which
    hit 15.2 million views.
