The 1954 episode of the Climax! anthology series starring Barry Nelson,
with Peter Lorre as Le Chiffre. Ian Fleming couldn't get a movie
adaptation made and sold rights to the first novel separately, leading
to the Charles K. Feldman adaptation in 1967.

Since MGM was unable to finance the movie in 2006, it was financed by
Columbia which may or may not have owned rights, but this meant MGM
couldn't get sued. The only way to properly adapt the first novel was at
the time of recasting the Bond character.

Quantum of Solace was also financed by Columbia; it was a two-picture
deal with MGM. Alas it's among the worst of the EON movies. It's vile. I
despise it. I want the director dead.

I'm missing the gag given that she wasn't born yet. I never saw any of
the movies in the series.
