I think it's a good movie because it's, well as you say fun. It's very 
much a product of its time with over the top violence, corny one liners 
that would make James Bond wince and doesn't take itself very seriously. 
Oh and Sharon Stone sweaty in a leotard, you can't ask for more than that.
