Many UK and US shows and movies are dubbed into the local languages in
various countries or regions. It's really weird seeing characters like
Doctor Who or Basil Fawlty jabbering away in German, French, Italian,
etc.

Even sillier, to appease the "Politically Correct" whiners, some are
also dubbed in native people's languages (despite the fact that those
ethnic people speak and understand English perfectly well and that many
of them can't even understand or speak their native language!). For
example, Disney has made versions of movies like "The Lion King",
"Shrek", and "Frozen" re-dubbed in Maori and a version of Star Wars
dubbed into Navajo (<https://youtu.be/zcYn-_gK_98>). The Maori TV
channel in New Zealand plays a few re-dubbed shows, for example
"Spongebob Squarepants" dubbed into Maori
(<https://youtu.be/3Tjc_ZEF5ac>).
