Critics (movies, TV, books, art, etc.) are simply snobs. They only like 
the arty-farty garbage that nobody else would ever want to watch / read 
/ see.  :-)

They often announce that something is "classic", when in reality it is 
utterly boring, yet lots of people stupidly rush out to see / buy it 
anyway.
