Much like Wayland, I'll have to take a wait and see approach. And I'm guessing, as you mentioned, the wait will be longer than what they're currently claiming. But we'll see. I know there was a lot of controversy over the SystemD(?) boot loader when it came out but I never ran into any problems with it.
