There's nothing wrong with riding any speed you like. But faster riders have more of a chance of not just falling but being out of control when they fall. > > I just succeeded with my first ride in two months. I rode around a parking lot and there was a straight tar line that I was able to follow. I even managed to dodge a dog. So I got out on the street and rode back home around four turns without hesitation. So Saturday I will be able to go out on a ride with my friends again for the fist time in 2 months. I will be wearing a helmet whether you think that they are necessary or not because I am living proof that at least they do some good. And I fell down only about 2 feet at about 5 mph. > > I also bought a pair of American made leather riding gloves with knit backs. I forgot how good those felt. I can actually break a fall with my hands again. The Chinese look alikes tore to pieces on a gentle fall. US made cycling gloves? Really?
