I just assumed everyone on Earth has seen "The Ice Pirates" at least 8
times and there would be no need to recap it. It was on HBO like
infinity times a week in the 80s.

"The Ice Pirates" is a very cheesy low budget sci-fi movie full of 80's
"humor" that would definitely not fly today. In the movie's universe
water is the most rarest and valuable commodity. Ulrich leads a band of
pirates who steal ice from the evil government. During a raid he
encounters a princess and it's lust at first sight. As it turns out the
princess wants to hire the pirates (after saving them from being
castrated) to find her father. Low budget 80s cheesy and culturally
insensitive jokes ensue. And yes, there are space herpes in the movie!
