Then Clara wakes up from her bad dream in Last Christmas and Capaldi

Doctor Who is dead and buried. There's not been a single new episode of

Serious question. Do you understand the concepts of character and 
characterisation in good literature and the rules by which character is 
written and maintained so that character and characterisation remain 
consistent and the protagonists are always recognisable to the audience 
as the same people they were when they were created or first depicted?
The character of the Doctor is a white heterosexual man who left his 
home planet with his granddaughter in a stolen time machine in order to 
explore the universe. He is not a baby black girl from another dimension 
that was abducted and repeatedly abused and murdered by the woman that 
abducted it and forced to repeatedly change race, gender and sexuality 
and then brainwashed to become an accomplice to genocide and then when 
it fled after realising the enormity of its crimes was captured and 
turned into a baby white boy that had its memory erased. The latter is 
the character of Doomsday from DC Comics who was created to kill Superman.
